Déjà vu (A LONG POST!)
'Déjà vu is the experience of feeling sure that one has already witnessed or experienced a current situation, even though the exact circumstances of the prior encounter are uncertain and were perhaps imagined. The experience of déjà vu is usually accompanied by a compelling sense of familiarity, and also a sense of "eeriness", "strangeness", "weirdness", or what Sigmund Freud calls "the uncanny". The "previous" experience is most frequently attributed to a dream, although in some cases there is a firm sense that the experience has genuinely happened in the past.'
Well Hello Mr Blog! It's been a few days again!
It seems like only last week I was in this same situation where I have to blog about Friday all the way to Sunday. Haha actually it was only last week =O It's been such a long week for me...what with all the 'out and abouts', the interview and the ridiculous amounts of alcohol consumed. (WITH PARENTS!...IT'S ALL GOOD!) So as I was last week, I'm now sitting comfortably in my cosy bed with my fan set on one (I remember last week was hot but I'm pretty sure on the Sunday night I had my fan speed also set on one) and I'm now going to recount once more~

'Step'-ping out on a Friday (ohoho...)
Ok...so here it begins...Friday morning. I had to get up early on Friday to catch the 545 to parra and meet up with the group there. Little did I know I was in for a surprise early in the morning. Normally if I were to catch the 545 to get to parra and catch the school bus, I'd run into Belzy but on this particular Friday, Ying Da caught the bus. Shocking I say. What he gave as an explanation was that he was 'at a friend's house...gaming all night' but let's not read into that. We met up with most of the group at parra minus...Zac, Li and Steph! It was said that Zac and Li were going to meet us in the city but Steph was 'not going to make it BECAUSEE...(correct me if I'm wrong) an optom test, an oral visit and a medical check up...ALL ON THE SAME DAY?! Seriously...do you guys have a yearly body check up like this? It seems a bit overwhelming, but that's just me o''o I guess I'm not man enough. Anyways, that's just to make sure the subtitle pun got through. *facepalm*
Meeting up with Li and Zac weee...what did we do? Oh I know! We went into Galaxy world (like always) and we won stuff, played bumper cars etc. It was good to feel like a kid behind the bumper car wheel. It was like pure excitement just trying to crash into other people, especially when you're rewarded with people nearly flying out of there carrrrrMWAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAahahaha..okay I'll stop. (Sorry Miho, hopefully you didn't get a bruise!) Special mention to Zac for helping me get the angry bird! =DD You are the best claw-mechanist ever!...I digress and say that the amount of money and time spent on the machines are also not too healthy in my opinion but that's for a later paragraph~ Me with my angry bird, Jen with her SPONGEE BOBBU and Viv with her frog...did she get a frog?...we left Galaxy world relatively happy.
Onwards to CRAZY WING! This restaurant was suggested by Viv and was said to be the place of Australia's hottest chicken wings. So a lot of the guys (who could stand chilly) were kinda talking themselves up (including myself) and we were all cocky with our teen-sized egos and were like 'Yep, we've got this. If NSB and SB peeps could take this surely it couldn't be that bad.' There was a small disagreement and a discussion period when we were deciding whether to split off into two/more groups to go to other restaurants for lunch (eg. Jen wanted to go Taiwanese dessert place; Meet Fresh) but we ended up staying together at Crazy wings since there were none chilly stuff on the menu. Sorry in advanced to Jen for keeping you hungry...but was it not funny just to see us go through the ordeal? This ordeal I'm talking about is of course in the relations to the HOTTEST BLOODY CHICKEN WINGS IN AUSTRALIA. Lunch started off okay, with everyone ordering what we wanted and deciding on shared/not shared meals and Ben, Zac, Miho and I ordered what we thought were the hottest wings on the menu. All we did, by eating these chicken wings we thought were the hottest, was give us a confidence boost and stroke our egos even further... It wasn't until I went up to the counter to order the 'hottest chicken wings in the place' did we get KO'd.
When the deadly wings came along we knew we were in deep shiet. Not only could you see the chilli but the smell of it just kinda chiselled at the inside of your nostrils and numbed your tongue instantly. Although we kinda dreaded it, because of our previous run-in with the 'not-so-spicy' chicken wings we remained unphased by this daring task and Ben, Zac and I took our first bite. Ben...having taken the first bite preceded to say 'This is the real deal.' Zac and I knew it too and we kinda raced to get it finished. The chicken wing was...tongue-numbingly, nostrils-flaringly, eyes-popping-y, brain-fryingly spicy. No joke. Zac and Ben went through two bottles of water EACH and I went through my own bottle of water just to try and soothe our burnt tortured souls. Miho looked on with slight amusement as she has yet to take a bite. Everyone looked on with a smug look on with their 'I-told-you-so' faces. Hmmm just a suggestion for the brave souls out there who want to attempt this feat; don't ever burp after you eat it. It's kinda like taking a flamethrower and directly applying and unleashing most of the fire on your brain. I thought my brain had melted and started dribbling out my nose but it turned out that it was just from the CO2 I was breathing out. It was an insane experience. I CAN FINALLY EMPATHISE WITH DRAGONS. I felt the power of breathing out fire yet understood the pain in producing the almighty flames. A double-edged sword.
Through dazed minds and many bottles of water later we legged it to Meet Fresh where we hoped to eat very cold and dairy-based products. (FYI...when I typed this post I put 'Fresh Meet' down until I realised that 'Fresh Meet' sounded very canabilistic and decided that the restaurant name was actually called 'Meet Fresh', which resulted me having to go through and change all the 'Fresh Meet's') It was at Meet Fresh did I realise that everyone that was going to Jervis Bay was there except for Steph x(
Moving along...we went to CEO K were there was singing to be done; running into Ivan and Rebecca randomly who were coincidentally there. I cannot critic others but if I am to ever sing at K ever again I demand singing lessons prior to our next meeting so that I can be a better singer and you guys wouldn't have had to suffer. It was also a three hour K session like last Saturday and...there's not much to talk about at what happened at K...since it's mostly just singing that goes on. After takoyaki Jen left and the rest of us went dindins.
Very persistent about going to Capitol (NO DOUBT TO FEED HIS CLAW MACHINE ADDICTION...this couldn't have been more subtly done), Zac kinda persuaded the group to walk in that direction while we decided on dinner plans. We ended up going to 'On ramen' and I ate a Chicken don. haha I ate a don. =P Being Zac paid off and the group headed to Caps right next door where he proceeded to win toys...most noteably a very cute horsey thingy for Viv. XD The group split up after that with Miho, Sam and Don going to see a movie (What movie did you guys end up watching? PNA3?) and the rest going to Central and catching trains etc...but me...I stayed in the city.
My parents surprised me and told me that as a birthday treat for my bro and I we were gonna stay at 'The Star' (Previously known as 'The Star City' hotel) for two nights =D I be the happy! After the day out with friends I just crashed on the couch in the hotel room for most of the night...watching TV like a fat boy.
Super Saturday
Waking up in a hotel is very different. It's relaxing yet...awkwardly uncomfortable. I went down to the Gym (first time I've ever been in one) and decided to 'work out'. Man I'm so fat and unfit it's not funny. After breakfast in bed at around 10:30am the family just went to the city and browsed through store after store after store...I shan't bore you with meaningless details about shopping...We bought lotto I think...for something. I'm pretty sure it wasn't for Oz lotto but yeh...whatevs. We ate dinner at Wagaya =D and walked back to the hotel room to watch the Sydney Harbour fireworks from our hotel room. (You jelly? xP)
The fun really started at around 10:30pm when I went to the Casino with my rents after my bro was asleep. First time in casino. Will never forget it. It was exhilarating and scary at the same time. This was made extra exhilarating and extra scary with the amount of alcohol consumed when my parents where apparently 'testing' my tolerance and taste buds with an epic amount of cocktails and wines. White russian, Black russian, Long Island, Hennessy L.S.O.P, Pinot Noir Chardonnay, Rosemont Sauvignon Blanc, Appletinis, Bloody Mary etc the list goes on. Mind blown. I actually got tipsy and started talking to the pianist ><''. The casino! Blackjack tables, roulette wheels, poker rooms, poker machines, baccarrat chips, pontoon rules etc were everywhere. There was music, dancing and a lot of people. The numbers didn't even dwindle a bit as the night wore on because of the fact that it was Saturday...To stop myself from being overwhelmed by these new waves of experience all I could do was stroke the furry walls ('GET HIM TO THE GREEK' REFERENCE! IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN IT YET; SEE IT!) I crashed out at around 5:00am and yeh...I guess this is technically Sunday now...

Contranyms
The word contronym (also antagonym) is used to refer to words that, by some freak of language evolution, are their own antonyms. Both contronym andantagonym are neologisms; however, there is no alternative term that is more established in the English language.
Contronyms are special cases of homographs (two words with the same spelling). Some examples:

I shaved for the very first time today...o''o. This is kinda new and weird for me since...does shaving make you a man?....or less of a man? Firstly, I guess, shaving means that you're a man but in the process you're kind of just shaving off an iconic symbol of being a man (THE MOUSTACHE)

LOL THE THOMSON AND THOMPSON THING FROM TINTIN!! THAT'S HOW YOU TELL THEM APART!!!
This whole facial hair thing is mind boggling I say.
This whole facial hair thing is mind boggling I say.
The reason I shaved was because I needed to attend a UWS interview today...and it was such a random experience. I signed a confidentiality form so I can't really go into detail but it's sooo different from a panel interview etc. Hmmm hopefully it went alright. I think I can be a horrible person at times. D=
Evil sleeps until it's time to rear it's head.
I'm going out with the group tomorrow!! IT'S GOING TO BE THE FUNSIES AND NO-ONE SAY ANYTHING ELSE OTHERWISE!! >=D Cya bright-eyed and bushy-tailed at parra tomorrow...LIKE AN ANGORA RABBIT!
OMGSH GUYS!! THEY ARE THE CUUUTESSTTT!!!

Is air-conditioning a sign of a weak will?
Hmm...today I couldn't get up for Ivan's party...I hope everyone who went had lotsandlotsa fun though ^^. One of the many reasons why I was being so lazy is that I looked at the temperature on the Bureau of Meteorology website and it told me that it was gonna be 37 degrees celsius today. So now I come to the question posed as the title of this post: 'Is air-conditioning a sign of a weak will?'
By noon it was 35 degrees or something and I was pretty much dying in my oven of a 'house' (who knows...I could actually be living in an oven for all you know ;p) and I was sweltering and sweating like a pig. A very vivid and unflattering image but it's the truth, like a whiny child I pleaded for the aircon to be turned on. What I got in response: 'WHY YOU NEED AIRCON? FAN NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR YOU HUH?! IN MY DAYS WE HAD NO AIRCON. WHAT IS AIRCON? YOU STOOPID LAZY FAT BOY. GO STICK HEAD IN FREEZER OR SHOWER.' ...I'm paraphrasing a bit but you get it. =/ If you can't stand the heat then apparently your will (to live?) is not strong enough...eg. In my mind I had my parents imagining a scenario where the building was on fire and I had to run 20 metres to safety through the inferno; them implying that I wouldn't do it because it was too hot...
So...I was planning to stay at home IN AIRCON instead of sweating like a pig, trying to party/karaoke in the city but it turns out that I ended up sweating like a pig at home...with no friends... =( Oh how the trifling aspects of life could be, at random stages. be a big pain in the butt *sighcakes*
From a psychological point of view...looking at pictures displaying 'cool/cold' stuff is meant to make you 'feel' colder. See if it works...(It's mostly icecream...)

would you ever share food with your dog? :S
